The originally Motorola Atrix a was one of the best Android phones of its time, and the wholly-owned Google subsidiary is ready to show off it’s latest in the line.
The new Razr-like Motorola Atrix HD will come in a svelte, 8.4 mm package, and features a 4-inch 720p screen. It also sports a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP rear camera, and SD Card slot. It will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwhich, and per the Galaxy Nexus, has eschewed hardware buttons for on-screen replacements.
A big “selling point” of the original Atrix was the ability to dock the phone and use it in “Webtop” mode. There’s no mention of that this time around, but Motorola is pushing the enterprise features of the forthcoming handset.
Release date and price for the Atrix HD are currently up in the air, but $200 seems like a recent standard, andThe Verge speculates that the July 26 date in the promo image may be more than a fluke.
